Political Party Vs. Politics - 1616 Words

Political party or anything in connection with politics is a common topic of every group of Indian who are sitting together at any place. It is always a debatable topic. Most of Indians are very much interested in politics. We look at formation of many parties; we find that their establishment are mainly due to ideological differences that result in split in parent party and at the end leads to formation of a new political party with a new agenda. In multi-party system like India, the parties can be classified into three types’ i.e.; National parties, Regional parties and State parties. The status of the party is granted by Election Commission of India and after that it is reviewed occasionally. All the parties whether national, Regional or State party, they are registered with Election Commission. A unique election symbol is given by the Election Commission to every registered party Currently there are 7 National parties and 56 State parties. The total number of registered unrecognised parties in India is 1786. There are mainly nine regional parties out of 657 Regional parties. There are 12 other upcoming parties. The Election Commission mandates certain rules regarding starting a new political party in India like; 1.
