Julissa Martinez Mrs.Campbell English II 3rd period 5 April 2017 The Dream Of Being A Military Nurse After high school I am interested in being a military nurse because I have been wanting to join the US Army but I also wanted to be a nurse so I decided why not be both. I have always been interested in being a military nurse because I get to help people that are saving us from dangers. Not also that but because it has been my father s dream. People in this career help injured soldiers during war which means they have to be exposed to dangerous war zones. Somethings that military nurses do is monitor wounds for infection, they also prepare patients for surgeries†¦show more content†¦They also help their family members with their health. A military nurse may sometimes be sent to war zone to help out and save injured soldiers, they also risk their life being there. Nurses also have to attend boot camp to know what circumstances they are put in during war. Money and outlook- â€Å"Overall, job opportunities for registered nurses are expected to be good. However, the supply of new nurses entering the labor market has increased in recent years. This increase has resulted in competition for jobs in some areas of the country. Generally, registered nurses with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN) will have better job prospects than those without one. Employers also may prefer candidates who have some related work experience†. â€Å"The median annual wage for registered nurses was $67,490 in May 2015. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $46,360, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $101,630†.-(www.bls.gov). There are a lot of people trying to become a registered nurse but, just becoming a registered nurse won’t get you as much money as getting your BMS and working with the governm ent. A registered nurse can get up to $101,630 a year depending on how far you got into your education. For example getting your BMS can help a lot. Employment- â€Å"Registered nurses
